“For what is life? To me, it is Christ. Death, then, will bring more. But if by continuing to live I can do more worthwhile work, then I am not sure which I should choose. I am pulled in two directions. I want very much to leave this life and be with Christ, which is a far better thing; but for your sake it is much more important that I remain alive.”
– Philippians 1: 21-24
Usually, I go to mass half asleep. Physically there but forgetting almost everything once I leave. Possibly because I didn’t sleep enough the night before. Of out all the things I heard today and any other days, this strikes a chord.
I believe that in everyone’s life, there will be a time where they considered death as a solution to their problems. Which is why this passage is relevant. It is much more important to remain alive.
