CyberSearch Firefox Extension

[CyberSearch :: Add-ons for Firefox]

Despite it’s dubious sounding name, I feel CyberSearch will soon become an extension I can’t live without. If you have been using Keyword searching on Firefox, you’d fall in love with CyberSearch. This cool extension basically displays search result in your Awesome Bar (stupid name isn’t it?) as you type. This saves you that extra trip to the search results page. What’s cool is you can set up keywords to limit your search to certain sites, essentially making the previous keyword searching method obsolete.

I set up imdb to limit my search to IMDB and this is the result:

cybersearch

Definitely a time saver, if you search for things extensively. It is also integrated with other Google services.

    Another cool thing you can do is remove your Search Box now and just use that 1 box just like Chrome’s Omnibar.
    To remove your search box, right click on the toolbar, select Customize… and drag it away.
