I don’t know how relevant is it in our local context or whether I can speak for all the guys but I was pretty surprised by some of the responses of the female students. For instance how they actually want a guy who actually bosses them around or how they’d rather not have guys who buy them breakfast or fetch them to school, believing the guys can better spend the time elsewhere.
I’ve never really claimed to be a nice guy but I wonder if nice guys really finish last.
It’s easy to know what girls are going through because they’d complain, blog, twit about it, put it on their MSN or Facebook status. Guys too have their own problems and guys being guys seldom discuss it with others. This episode discusses some of the issues that may cause low self-esteem in guys and reveal that some girls might not really mind all that much.
I’m often amused when guests come on shows and get neglected. Watch how the 2nd guest only had 2 chances to contribute after his introduction.
大学生 discusses some dating issues with a guest psychologist. I believe the lesson at the end of the day is for guys to recognise when girls say “No” and for girls to assert themselves when they say “No” because you know well guys can be dense and you need to be unambiguous and definite with your stand.
Hopefully some people can learn something from the discussion.
I remember back then when I see some girls on campus and wonder if they’re dressed up and ready to hit the clubs straight after classes. This phenomenon is not unique to Singapore as 大学生 explores the trend of university girls dressing up inappropriately and how less can be more.
